Our Story
Farmsteadability began in 2022 as a hands-on food cottage operation skill program for differently-abled adults. Farmsteadability will be one of the businesses in Homesteadability Village.
Our Program
Homesteadability provides a supportive environment where differently-abled adults learn essential skills through hands-on skill training and experiences in a cottage/farm food operation, preparing them for future community integration, authentic employment, and communal living.
What We Do at the "Farm"
Gardening activities at Farmsteadability teaches differently-abled adults how to plant, care for, harvest, strip herbs, label, pack, and sell products. Participants also create their own artistic crfats to sell. Cooking and food prep are integral parts of this supportive environment, enhancing their culinary abilities. Community outings, special events, and trips provide opportunities for socialization and personal growth. Additionally, activities like laundry, self-care, art, and artisanship foster creativity and independence. Faith-informed discussions and charity work encourage a sense of purpose and community involvement.
