Adult Special Needs Training Program at Homesteadability

Homesteadability provides a supportive environment where differently-abled adults learn essential skills through hands-on skill training and experiences  in a cottage/farm food operation, preparing them for future community integration, authentic employment, and communal living. We offer day programming beginning September 2026 through May of 2027 on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Transportation is provided from a central location in Jupiter to our farm and within the community for community outings. 

Gardening activities at Homesteadability teaches differently-abled adults how to plant, care for, harvest, strip herbs, label, pack, and sell products. Participants also create their own artistic crafts to sell. Cooking and food prep are integral parts of our program preparing them for future independent living. Community outings, special events, and trips provide opportunities for socialization and personal growth. Additionally, activities like laundry, self-care, art, and artisanship foster creativity and independence. Faith-informed discussions and charity work encourage a sense of purpose and community involvement.
