Adult Special Needs Training Program at Homesteadability

A diverse group of people joining hands in a circle indoors, sharing a moment of connection.

Our Story

Farmsteadability began in 2022 as a hands-on food/ cottage operation and skill program for differently-abled adults. Homesteadability emerged in 2025 as an outgrowth of that venture and has since expanded into a 501 (C3) organization aimed at providing forever homes and employment to neurodivergent adults in Palm Beach County, FL.

Our Program

Homesteadability provides a supportive environment where differently-abled adults learn essential skills through hands-on skill training and experiences  in a cottage/farm food operation, preparing them for future community integration, authentic employment, and communal living. We offer day programming beginning October 2026 through May of 2027.

What We Do at the "Farm"

Gardening activities at Homesteadability teach neurodivergent adults how to plant, care for, harvest, strip, label, pack, and sell products. Participants also create their own artistic crafts to sell at our food/cottage operation. Cooking, food prep, laundry, and self-care are integral parts of our program preparing participants for future independent living. Community outings, special events, and trips provide opportunities for socialization and personal growth. Additionally, activities like art and artisanship foster creativity and independence. Faith-informed discussions and charity work encourage a sense of purpose and community involvement.
